Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology
SMART is an exclusive SSSTC technology that helps monitor all messaging, and presents all initial testing attributes in Hexadecimal values. If any Raw Value is found to be outside the designated safety value range, an alert/warning is sounded, however, if it is determined to be within the possible range of rectification, it will attempt automatic restoration. Through automatic status monitoring and display of disc drive information, users will be prompted to avoid shutdown without warning.
With SMART, monitoring can be executed through SMART Return Status command. Its Raw Value can be provided to other firmware or software, such as one that can look up SSD health status, temperature and life-longevity, of which the data is accessed through SMART Raw Value.
