Wear Leveling
WL technology aims at allowing every single NAND Flash Block in the SSD to be evenly utilized to avoid the result of excessive Bad Block, or premature damages due to data write-in or erasure carried out in certain Blocks.
WL allows the Soc Controller to calculate the remaining P/E counts of each Block through WL algorithm and write-in new data to those Blocks with less erasure frequency. As the Controller is able to evenly control the P/E frequency of each Block, SSD will be able to avoid premature wear and loss due to over P/E to particular Blocks.
