Extreme Low Power Mode
The power-saving mode of SATA interface comprises of Partial and Slumber modes. The wake-up to active in the Partial Mode would take 10 (µs), where it would dramatically lower power consumption 100 (mW), and be activated within 10 (µs).
ELPM, also known as (Device Sleep) DEVSLP, is the latest power-saving mode outside the Partial and Slumber modes, the deepest sleep status of SSD, with the best power-saving performance. When ELPM is activated, the SSD is basically completely idle, where power consumption is lower than 5 (mW), and can be woken up in 20 (ms). ELPM can dramatically reduce system power consumption, hence increase system performance and usage longevity.
